This National Womenโ€™s Month, we shine the Lacsonian Alumni Spotlight on ๐๐’๐’๐ . ๐Œ๐ž๐ซ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐‚๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ ๐. ๐†๐ฎ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ-๐€๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ฌ, a BS Tourism Management graduate of 2014 from John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University.

From a young dreamer who once chose her course because of a uniform that caught her eye, to a proud Cum Laude graduate who discovered that true education is grounded in values, discipline, and faith, Merry Crisโ€™ journey reflects courage, growth, and purpose. Her years in the university were filled with meaningful milestones, leadership roles, Tourism Fairs, yearly tours, and the unforgettable Initiation Rites that shaped her into a true-blooded Lacsonian.

Guided by the core value of Godliness, she placed God at the center of every decision. That faith carried her beyond the classroom and into a path many did not expect. After graduation, she embraced the challenge of entering the Philippine National Police and became a member of Class 2015-01 Mandirigma. Today, she serves with honor and dedication, assigned to various units and currently fulfilling her duty as a Women and Children Protection Desk PNCO. Through her service, she has helped rescue victims, filed cases that sought justice for women and children, and stood as a resource speaker in communities and schools.

Her perseverance led her to pass the NAPOLCOM Entrance Exam, Police Officer Exam, and Senior Police Officer Exam. Her discipline and integrity continue to define her decade of service in the police force. She is also a proud homeowner and car owner, proving that commitment and hard work bear fruit.

PSSg. Merry Cris P. Guelos-Asturias embodies the strength, compassion, and resilience of a Lacsonian woman. Her story reminds us that paths may change, but purpose remains. As she shares with the current generation, pursue what your heart truly desires, commit yourself fully, put God at the center, and make your parents proud.

This Womenโ€™s Month, we celebrate her courage to choose her own path, her dedication to protect the vulnerable, and her unwavering faith that continues to guide her journey.
